Dinosaurs in the Park

… Sir Joseph Paxton (1803-65), creator of the Crystal Palace …

… of course the Crystal Palace burnt down in 1936 …

… but further into the park are the wondrous dinosaurs …

… created by Benjamin Waterhouse Hawkins (1807-1894), a renowned natural history sculptor …

… the whole area has been renovated and the sculptures given Grade 1 status …

… I remember them as a child and I hope many children and adults continue to enjoy them in years to come …
