Berneray

… geese flying over the machair …
… I drove across heading for the distant sand dunes …
… hiding oyster catchers …
… and other birds …
… and full of soft white sand …
… then on to a deserted beach …
… that stretches for miles …
… for a quiet walk …
… enjoying the patterns and sunshine …

  1. One of my favourite places! I visit most years (sadly not this year 🥲) and always have a special moment when I stand at the south end of West Beach looking towards Harris and Lewis.
