Burns Supper

It’s that time of year again – 25th January –

… to look out my kilt and bagpipes,
read poetry and, of course, enjoy a plate of haggis …

I know it makes no real sense to have vegetarian haggis
but, as a veggie myself, I can totally recommend Macsween’s.
It’s delicious with a whisky onion sauce, tatties and neeps.
Yummy.

 

Tam O’Shanter is probably my favourite Burns’ poem.

There are loads of websites giving info about the man, his times and works
but I like this site where you can get in the mood by listening
to readings and some songs too:
