The Road Not Taken

It was tight and Tricia was ill, but we managed to meet the deadline to get our triptych into the Forms of Narrative exhibition. It’s open to all members of Perthshire Visual Arts Forum (of which I am now a member). The brief was to produce a piece of work in any medium inspired by a narrative (film, book, poem, etc).  The poem is in a previous blog called Dunkeld if you want to read it. The exhibition is on at Birnam Art Centre, Birnam, Perthshire from 5-29 June – pop in if you’re passing by.  Birnam is near Dunkeld and it’s a beautiful area.

Luckily, Peter who is a photographer and has a studio here at The Steeple, has a rather good giclee printer so I was able to print our triptych on Fine Art Hahnemuhle paper which, for those who aren’t in to these things, is matt and textured and suited the image perfectly. He did me a very good deal so I will be using his printer again! If he lets me.

If you’re interested in the scarecrows in Newburgh, you should check out Peter’s blog as he is photographing every one – and there are over 80 scattered around the village. It’s very surreal.
